From February 8th to April 1, 2022, I was in México. I had never been, even though I had always wanted to go. When I found myself forced to stay home from work in 2021 due to the drastic NYC Covid lockdowns, I woke up one day, and knew I had to do something to turn a negative into a positive. I didn’t have much money, but I had, for the first time in a long time, all the time in the world. I didn’t research it too much. Charlotte, North Carolina’s airport had non-stops to México City, and they were reasonable. There was nothing more to think about.
So I went to the place I had always wanted to go, but had never been. And it is now one of the highlights of my life. Not only that, I cannot wait to return, for a long time.
